36" Victorian Romadka Brothers Senorita Barrel Top Trunk. It is massive at 32 inches tall and weighs a guess 80 to 100 lbs. I could not move this by myself I had to call a friend once home to carry it to its current resting place. The original ad photos were all glare and poor quality photos. So needless to say I was quit stunned when face to face with it. Both 4 ply original leather handles, excellent quality 1883 brass lock and a ton of die cast trim. Matching back and front vertical wood slats. Beautiful piece as it stands, so probably be the last to restore. No interior trays.. but thanks to HMS Trunks for the literature sheet I am able to name it correctly and have the correct layout for those missing trays.

Romadka Brothers Milwaukee, Wisconsin, WOW! love it, the only thing I don't like is the smooth tin, I would bet gold crystallized tin, seems like that's what most of them were. beautiful trunk, greendog.

Not sure I would do anything to it except clean and wax it with Johnson's paste wax, like you said beautiful as it is, greendog.

Yes I don't really care for the tin and from others that are painted a solid..???
bjb5859 Did one for a customer with the vine of details in wood and it was stunning, mind you it was old leather cover but the wood with all that trim looked very sharp.

At least the tin is in real good shape, not beat to death, even with the smooth tin this is a very very nice find, greendog.

Marvin Miller has one much like yours on here and it looks great, kind of a wine color, I really like it, greendog.

Greendog Thanks for the note I have saved that photo to my folder for color options. I do like the outcome with that color.

Thanks Drill. I don't have this one on this trunk. After checking my photo file it has the J.J. Cowell 1877 castors as you just posted for the barrel stave. Now I am getting it! But certainly would not without knowledgeable input. I Like to have factual data. Thanks once again!
