The Thames Compressor Truck was first released in 1959 and sold through 1963. Matchbox cars from this rea are worth about 3-4 times as much as those from the later 60s. As Matchbox cars became more popular many more were made. I think 1968 was the peak year for sales.
This model would have been made from 1962 or 1963. From 1959-1961 it was made with gray wheels
I like this model because of the nifty compressor motor that takes up the rear of the vehicle. It is very well detailed for a model this size as it is only 2 1/4" long.
This is great, looks real
That's a nicely detailed one!! In amazing condition.
Is this a British model? (I'm thinking because of Thames.)
