Got this is an antique store in Yucca Valley near Pioneer Town. This seems to be a field find as there is a bit of decay. Cattle skulls a fairly plentiful as we tend to chow down on them. Herds of them roam the hills too so there are many field finds of cattle skulls.
This was probably a wild horse which injured its leg. Was thinking how lucky it was as no one would call a vet to come and shoot it and then a mountain lion comes along.
Not actual taxidermy but close enough.
Wrapping it up with a special salute to the Godfather.

Oooh! The horse head in bed scene. Shuddering with the thought, and then I see your poor teddy bear, who looks just about terrified. ;)
