Picked up one of these babies for $10 at a Tulsa antique store. NCHWA lists this at about 165 in mint. Mine is probably excellent, as it's not the best but 95% of the paint and about 85-90% of the wheel chrome remains. It's a Hong Kong casting. There is a couple paint chips on the black roof on mine. Onlineredlineguide lists this as a hard to find combination. Olive is the most common with a black roof, red is the rarest. I think gold looks pretty good on this car myself. (Who wouldn't want their car to be gold?) By the way, the black roof was painted on some to simulate the popular vinyl black roofs that were on some of the actual Cougars.
Very cool one of the Sweet 16 and at a great price. Makes me want to pack up the cats and head to OK.
Mine will be coming in an hour or so.
Great find! What's not to like about vintage Hot Wheels? :-) I have the same car in lime with the matching button/pin/tag thing.
