Hello everyone!!!!
Among all of the bronzes that I have in my collection, this is my small cold painted bronze running hare that was made in Vienna, Austria. He is so incredibly detailed and very well painted. The person I bought this from sold it to me really cheaply because he said it wasn't marked. But, I thought I saw what appeared to be a mark. When I got it home, I inspected it very closely and, as you can see in pic #4, it's is most definitely marked "AUSTRIA" on it's bottom side. So, that made me VERY pleased when I saw the marking. This little fellow only measures 2" long and 1" tall. I do not know the age of this little bronze hare. Hope you all enjoy seeing this little hare as much as I do.
Thanks to you all for taking time to stop in!!!

Wow that's tiny! Had to look at my ruler to see how tiny. Very, very nice Scott.
He is beautifully posed & painted, a real sprinter
Thanks Gillian!! Yep, he's a tiny one for sure. Had to really zoom in on him, with my camera, to get good shots of him.
Thank you Jenni!! I love all of the Austrian bronzes, especially the foxes and hares.
He's a beaute, forever running or poised for a hop !~
Thank you Phil!! I love Austrian bronzes and wish I had more in my collection than I do.
Thanks to you all for the loves, comments and for taking time to stop in!!

It always helps to carry a loupe. (And I always forget mine! I guess I need two- one for home and on to keep with me at all times.) I love the diminutiveness of this hare.
You know, I am an avid fan of Tasha Tudor, and in her dollhouse she has tiny cold-painted bronzes, some of which are Beatrix Potter characters, in a curio cabinet. You would love them. I'll see if I can't find a link for you.
Thank you Laura!! I too need a loupe to carry with me. Thankfully, I just got my glasses updated and was able to spot the makers mark, but I was still unable to make it out until I zoomed in on it when I got it home. With these, it's always very exciting to find the VIENNA or AUSTRIA mark on them.
I've seen only photos of the wonderful little dollhouse miniature bronzes. But, I've yet to come across any in my treasure hunts.
Terrific find Scott, well done! I love it very much:-)
Thank you Judy!! I was pretty excited to have found this little bronze.
Thank you all so very much for the loves, comments and for just dropping by!!!!
