    Hello everyone!!
Another of my bronze hare sculptures. This one is solid bronze and has the Pierre Chenet signature crown on the bottom and was made in either France or Belgium. He's so incredibly detailed. He's small and only measures slightly over 3" long and 4" tall. I have several other Pierre Chenet bronze hare sculptures in my collection, but this is one of my favorites among them all and I hope you enjoy him as well.

Pierre CHENET is an artist from northern France who creates magnificent sculptures since the early 1970s.

He uses his own technique, known as "acid patina" which gives his bronzes a unique colour. Each sculpture is unique by its colour.
The bronze is stamped with the crown of his own foundry.

Thank you all for taking time to stop by!!!

    Scott

A very fine specimen! The outstanding quality and craftsmanship that went into creating him are very obvious. How do we know it's a he though? Maybe it's a she? Should we call her a "share"? =)

Scott I am interested in the age of your Chenet sculptures. Have they ever been reproduced or do all date from early 20thC?
    13. jscott0363 jscott0363, 7 years ago
      Hi Karen!!
Most of my Pierre Chenet hares are all reproductions. I couldn't begin to afford an original. The reproductions are so well done that I'd have a tough time knowing the difference between the repro and the original.
