This Victorian Green/Gold Crystal Barrel Top Trunk has all nice die-cast patent date 1877 trimmings but for the top and bottom of the vertical slats which are tin. No maker name. It represents the original chosen color format of that era for this trunk. Interesting point regarding this piece from all other trunks I have, or seen here in Ontario thus far with the exception of the Romadka Brothers Trunk I have listed....is it has vertical wood straps on the front and the back. It is 36" long 29 tall so a fair size. Partial interior with both ends originally done in gold crystal. I am a sucker for dome tops and die-cast and collecting different examples of the days gone by.
This is one beautiful trunk! Pictures are nicely preserved, too. Is that a kitten in a boot? So adorable.
Yes you are correct..lol a cat lover aye!
And Thanks for the note Anna!
