This clock has been in the family for years- it was bought in Ireland for just a few pounds, not sure of the exact price though and had been working for a long number of years. Unfortunately now the springs in it have loosened up and because of this it can't strike or tell the correct time anymore.
It's currently been to a clock repairer twice to see can anything be done with it- the springs can be replaced, but are damn near impossible to get the right size in! And sadly other parts have worn too and have also become very scarce to come by so we're not sure if this little carriage clock can ever be got working again.
As for any other details about it I'm really not sure of the year it was made only that it's an American clock! All workings are brass and comes with a key which can be hung inside the case on the back- very handy!
