This thorn vase is made of an inner ring of pinkish red and an outer hexagonal layer of UV reactive green. Seen best in image three. The thorn vase has been pulled to lengthen it and then this part has been turned back upon itself and wound around the vase.
The group shot shows others that have been stretched and then formed into a variety of shapes below and around the vase. They each have the five thorny feet often seen on Welz thorn vases.

Hi Peggy. Oh lovely. A veritable forest of glass! I love Malkeys comment, very poetic and apt. Love its unusual dark rich colours, it does look like lava coated in moss.
