This is an original ca.1957 COLDSPOT AUTO CUBE ice cube bin with two matching ice cube trays. In turquoise green with copper anodized aluminum and chrome hardware, this set came with the actual refrigerator my parents bought brand new when they were married -- which then remained in either the kitchen or basement/garage of their home (while I myself was growing up in it too, and then some) until at least the mid 2000's or so when it finally disappeared, not because it didn't work anymore (it still worked fine!) but because it was finally the 'last/oldest' in rotation, when yet one more "shiny new" one arrived in the kitchen. (which, in typical fashion, Mom ended up *not* liking any better than the previous ones, etc. etc. yada yada <lol>) Also in Mom's typical fashion, she kept these pieces when the old fridge went away, despite that the 'new one(s)' all came with automatic icemakers... <groan><headdesk><giggle>

The 'defroster scoop/scraper' (I guess that's what it is?) might be slightly older (?) as I don't really recall it ever being in our household when I was growing up. (though I do remember Mom having to 'defrost the freezer' every so often -- just not with this thing...) Mom also had a Coldspot chest/deep freezer, maybe it came with that, or it could have been something she inherited from another relatives' estate along the way.

Remember those ice trays. Put too much water in them & the handles would often bend when you went to break the ice loose.

for having a look and hitting the <love it> button!

Thanks also blunderbuss2 for your comment -- this set seems to have survived intact. I just wish I truly had a use for it...my current fridge has a now-typical icemaker too and I've even got a standalone undercounter ice machine which I don't have any undercounter space for... <groan>
