For those of y'all not lucky enough to be someplace where the climate is keeping up with the calendar ;-) here's a few quick phonecam snapshots around the yard this afternoon, of my current colorful 'springtime is busting out all over'. :-) :-) :-) [not shown is all the tree pollen which will keep everything outside coated in a fine layer of yellow-green dust for another week or two while also playing havoc with (other people's) allergies, nevermind that...]

The little purple tree blossoms in pic 1 are a few days past their prime now, but I like how the brand new leaves are coming on behind them anyway. Pic 2 is just part of a big shrub which is actually on my neighbor's side of the fence, I don't suppose they'd care that I leaned over it a little...? Pic 3 is the first bloom to open (note the buds too) of what'll be a whole bush-ful of (fragrant!) pale pink in a few more days, and pic 4 is actually just a bit of a small patch of tiny little purple 'weed flowers' in the lawn -- also capturing a bumblebee (the yellow spot smack dab in the middle of the photo) happily helping pollinate them, until they eventually succumb to the lawnmower.

    Happy (pre-) Easter weekend everybody!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Even the crocuses have yet to bloom here: And they always bloom first.

      He is Risen.

Love the flowers! We have snow flurries expected tomorrow here in Massachusetts but I saw a purple Crocus in my yard today!
