Picked this up last summer at a music/flea market fundraiser in Bristol, RI for $1. Have tried to find information about it but every search comes up with closed end wrenches. It's pretty heavy and has the letter G on one side and the numbers 3 & 4 on the other. I love old rusty tools and finding out what they were used for but this one has me stumped. Hopefully some day I'll found out what it was used for and pass on the information.

I have 2 of these I got in Vermont when I was a kid ( I'm 70 now). I believe they were originally my grandfathers and he used them on huge old boiler heating systems at the local school. I have no idea if they had a specific application or not. I just found them unusual. I don't remember me ever using them.

Similar wrenches were (and still are) made to help mechanics get to specific bolts/nuts which are in out-of-the-way places where regular wrenches won't fit.
