"Pulled Tadpoles" is a decor name and description I am borrowing from Craig Orkney of www.kralik-glass.com. It is a simple decor of a contrasting color pulled up into the body color and covered with a clear casing. Variations of this decor, in many color combinations, were produced by Welz and possibly by a few other glass houses of the time. It was the unusual shape that attracted my attention to this piece. Unreferenced visually, it looks like some sort of perfume or toiletries bottle and wear to the inside of the throat seems to indicate there may have been a lid or stopper. Compared to an atomizer bottle, it is rather large at 4 1/2" (11.4 cm) tall with a 4 3/4" (12 cm) widest diameter.
Great piece artfoot!! I love the colors.
Interesting bulbous rim.
for me these are spoon pulls by kralik not to be confused with spoon pulls from Welz
Before agreeing that this is Kralik production, I would need to see this shape with a known Kralik decor on it. We can not look to provenance marks, and need to look to shapes.....
