I bought this strange glass bowl today and brought it home and have been trying to find another like it with no success. Its five inches high and nine across the top. The bowl is glass with a blue glaze over the outside and lots of funny little Asian raised characters. Inside its gold and etched with lots more characters. The only marks on the bottom are the butterfly and a flower. Inside its marked Arcoroc France and the number 13?
stunning!! love this!!
I'm amazed and flummoxed by this!
beautiful i thought seeing at first pottery the enamel work exceptional in my umble opinion
i.m to confused by origin feeling french but well could be bohemian or oriental

Really nice find martinla56, it reminds me of 2 porcelain pieces I found this past week, a juice cup with butterflies and bugs from a Thrift store, and a small porcelain jardinière with birds, and flying bugs, from the Flea Market. Your bowl is much nicer though! :^)
Yes my bad I found marks onside the bottom of the Bowl believe it reads Arcoroc France and small numbers 13? Does this help anyone?
marks are inside bottom of the bowl !
I cannot find another like this! Help
I think, your vase is an example of a glass décorating technique called 'pitochomania', it was popular around 1880-1910. They are not often seen, but nevertheless they are offered from time to time, especially by British auction houses, depending upon the quality the prices are about 100-200 $, a very good example was recently sold for 500 $
