We've picked up a few of these chairs at an auction in Pennsylvania twenty-some years ago. I know nothing about the history, except that they are oak. If anyone has any information on them, I would love to hear it. Thanks.
We have five of the exact same chairs, one of which is an armchair. I am wanting to sell them but don't know the proper pricing. If you get any info, please let me know.
I am interested in chairs like these. I have an oak table and would like to get these kinds of chairs. Could you let me know when you decide on a price? Also, where are you located?
Ahumin, the story is that my dad got these chairs many years ago. His uncle offered him 3,000 for the chairs and a table ( I am hoping to keep the table for sentimental reasons...dad died last year and gave me the table and chairs beforehand. I can use the table in my art room...it has a marble top, but I can't use the chairs. Some years ago he was showing items in our house to an antique dealer who again offered him 3,000 for the set. We have been told that it is the chairs which hold the value. I would like to get 1,200 OBO. We are between Knoxville, Tn and Kingsport. If you are interested, contact me at joyfromtears@yahoo.com
I found chairs with similar lion heads, think mine are mahogany. Having a hard time finding out about them. Hoping someone can help me with age and name of style.
