    I'm an electrician, found this in an attic. Not looking for an appraisal just any info would be appreciated. It seems to be a wind up hellcat, with a pilot and movable flaps

      That is a Corsair as it has the bent wings. Other than that I don't know anything about that model.

      It is a flying model of an F4 corsair, it does have a fueled motor on it and the fuel tank from the looks of the picture. It is probably from the 50 or 60's, it appears to be a hand made version, probably from a balsa wood kit. Nice to have for at least a display. it is the type that uses control wires for the operator. I have made several of this type. Today they are all RC controlled.
