I'VE HAD THIS FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. I KEEP IT IN MY BEDROOM BETWEEN 2 FACE VASES THAT I HAVE. I THINK IT'S HELD UP WELL OVER THE YEARS & MUST HAVE COME FROM A HOME WHERE IT WAS WELL CARED FOR.

That is a very pretty vase.

You may find this link interesting-- marks for Nippon/ Noritake:

      http://www.nipponcollectorsclub.com/backstamps.html

Your backmark is top center and dates from about 1891- 1922, when the US began enforcing provisions of the McKinley Tariff Act, requiring the use of "Japan" instead of "Nippon".

Thanks for all the info, Murano & Scott! I knew it was old, but not that old. I showed it to my brother & he said it looked too good to be that old, but to me, not if it's well cared for as it must have been! I bought it at a community yard sale for $5, I was lucky to find it!
