Antique M. Langmuir Canada Narrow Slat 32" Flat Trunk.

Antique M. Langmuir Canada narrow slat 32" flat top trunk. This trunk has a very mild roll top to it and measures 32" x 20" deep x 22" tall. Thanks to Jacknjef's post and antiquerose's input, I feel fairly confident I can assign M. Langmuir of Canada to it as the maker. It has a multitude of narrow slats each being tipped with a brass end cap & lots of brass buttons retaining those slats and has a warm brown vulcanize edge banding.. It is the only trunk I have seen that sort of mimics the European narrow slat effect of the Louis Vuitton, Moynat, or Goyard...it makes for a nice change from the wide slats. Comes with original tray, one side missing lid and the other lid poor. This one has a couple of subtle hardware differences from Jacknjef's trunk post but none the less pretty much the same trunk I would say. The other, Jacknjef's trunk, maybe older if the more ornate shoulder curve tips can be used as an age timeline... not sure on that one. The overall unity of colors creating a deeper warm flavor of this trunk I prefer if I had a choice, but I certainly would have bought either one when and if the moment arose.
