All I know is my grandparents bought them possibly in Germany on their honeymoon in the early 1900s. The only markings are the one in the picture and a number on the leg of them, either a 9, 10, or 14. Any information would be very helpful...Thanks!!
These dolls appear much newer than 1900. They are Nice Novelity or tourist dolls and from mark on back likely made in Germany but not antique look more like 1960 to present . Thank you for sharing them .
The mark on the back is in relation to the size of the doll, I wouldn't say German. The faces are alike showing they were mass produced. Manikin is correct these are not old dolls.
These look like a collection of dolls of the world by different clothes . They number I agree is most likely size reference but script of writing is not the way USA usually wrote numbers . I agree with Vesta that they are mass produced dolls and surely not rare and have more value as a sentimental story for family to pass along .
The dm mark is for Danbury Mint. These are from the Dolls of the World series.
This link has the DUTCH girl ELSA, and says it's from 1953 (but I've found no other info to support this date)

And the rest are also on that Tias link.
You are right about the Danbury mint mark! I have found reference to them being made between 1980-90 but only one so far.
Well I found out Danbury Mint was founded in 1969. By the faces of the dolls I would think 80's is correct.
I didn't think 1953 was correct...some people try to date their stuff so they can sell it at a higher price. :/
So true and it usually bites them in the end. I have found several other references that they were made sometime in the 80's. I haven't been able to nail down a date more than likely because the whole set was made over several years.
thanks for everyones help and links
I know, it'a little bit late, still, there are a few similar dolls at ebay which point the 1985 year as a year of release of this dolls line. For example, http://www.ebay.com/itm/DANBURY-MINT-DOLLS-OF-THE-WORLD-SUISAN-REPRESENTING-SCOTLAND-/290948126541
