Another from last weekends GI Joe Show, it was the big find. These were made by Irwin either under license or for Hasbro. This was a blow molded vehicle and Hasbro didn't have the capability to make blow mold vehicles. Hasbro did have vehicles of their own but they were more expensive. Other vehicles they made were the command car, armored car, helicopter and Panther Jet. I would really like to get the jet as the GI Joe Action Pilot has no plane.
One always thinks of the WWII Germans with the motorcycle with side car. The machine gun is American but still I think Germans work best for this. They originally came with stickers for either Germans. Americans or Japanese. Anyway without the stickers all I need to do is switch the figure.
In the last photo I have my now uniform WWII Germans thanks to the uniforms I picked up at the GI Joe show. Those aren't the vintage GI Joe SOTW Germans but still nice.

Fantastic fort, the German soldiers & their sidecar is a classic ww2 image! Thanks for the history, I always thought the sidecar was purely German. Great pieces all & swell German clothing

Looking good! I love the bike and sidecar, although that looks like a Triumph engine and the Pommies never had sidecars. Oh well, let's pretend it's a BMW hybrid thing.
That's a great find Fort, and the Germans are looking handsome and menacing.

I’m not a GIJoe expert but when I was scouring my new favourite market yesterday I saw a GI Joe helicopter. I didn’t even know there was a helicopter. Your find is great, congrats...

A good find, although I was never really all that keen on the vehicles. I think they seem a bit crude and plasticy compared to some of the other accessories.

Thank you very much racer4four. The newer Ultimate Soldier version is much more accurate. Plus the M1919 .30 machine gun.

      Hi FortApache,
I'm looking at a similar bike online being aware that there is a reproduced model also. Does yours have any IRWIN markings anywhere on the body?
