This was one of my finds at an Estate Sale that I went to this afternoon 5/11/2018. I decided to go after the opening rush, and just see if anything was left, and there was plenty, if you wanted to pay the price, but I looked anyway. I found this in the kitchen, with the old knives, and stainless, it was tarnished, and I guess nobody checked for marks thinking it was just plate, because there were no marks on the back of the handle, I didn't see any, and thought the same, but really liked the pattern, and thought it would clean up nice. It did! :^D and after finding the marks on the inside edge of the of the spoon, the search was on!
I found on the left side, in an octagon stamp the Head of Minerve, with a 1 at his forehead(the mark for French Sterling, from 1838 to present), and on the right side, a sideways diamond stamp, D R over two blocks, over PARIS, and some other small marks, in the side corners of the diamond. After searching more, and photographing it, and looking at it on the large screen HDTV, I could see the things that I needed to complete my search. The two blocks are a double two Domino, the D R for Doutre Roussel (Claude), his mark for 1895, Claude Doutre Roussel 118 rue Vieille-du-Temple Paris, France, and with an image search I was able to find the same pattern! :^D Doutre Roussel was in business from 1848-1969.
The Serving Spoon weighs three ounces U.S.

Thank you for looking, any questions, or comments welcome! :^)
