So I don't get typecast as a glassware collector based on recent posts. I have a large factory and studio art glass collection, but rarely add to it any more due to lack of space and several cats who have broken a few of my favorite pieces. But... I had to buy something at a thrift shop today to get my total high enough to use my credit card and settled on this. It is 6" x 4" at the top and 2 3/4" at the bottom. The glass has kind of an oily, smooth feel to it and handling it is quite sensual. No marks and I don't expect anyone to identify the maker. I live in a university town and the uni has a very productive art glass program so it is not unusual to see small pieces like this floating around. Of course, it could be "Made in China" too, but a pretty little thing anyway, I think.
By colour, probs not Chinese. As you say, maybe a nice student work!
Thanks for your comment. The silky finish and contours on this piece are really nice and it is very pleasant to handle it.
Thanks for loving my little pulled glass vase Jenni, blunderbuss2, valentino97, aura, sklo42 and Karen!
Thanks MALKEY!
