I'm having trouble identifying this piece. Inherited, w/o much background. Have done my own scratch and density test. Density is 2.5 and it scratches white, which fits with it being probably serpentine. Can provide more details and photos. It weighs about 38 lbs. and is 25" high and 2" wood base. I've been told it is Chinese and probably early 20th century

Is this a funeral urn for ashes? Hope not. Such has been recently suggested to me. Thanks.
