I was trying very hard but I had to get it. It was either this or an elk and the elk took up too much room. The coyote is our most numerous predator up here and apparently they work around the clock as you see them in the daytime and here them at night. People walk around with baseball bats and golf clubs when walking small pets. They in turn are food for the mountain lions who eat large pets and use base ball bats for chew toys.
This one sticks out one foot from the wall with a great big smile. It is good condition with the usual crack in the nose. No one is perfect.
I can't really think of much to say about this. It isn't as common as a deer or duck . It is good to find the unusual stuff.
So lifelike & quite ferocious
Had a coyote chase me on a mountain bike at night in town. They are overpopulated here along with wolves. I work nights and see them quite often. They make the most horrific noise in packs. Fort I will take a few pictures of a friend's taxidermy for you he has quite the collection.
Very cool find!! We have a lot of coyotes here, but it's rare to see one out in the daytime. They howl every night and get every dog in the neighborhood barking!
That should keep the cats away from the fire place
Thank you very much Newfld.
Thank you very much Caperkid. I have had staring contests with some but never had one chase me. Had one make that noise next to an open window. That was quite startling.
Thank you very much Scott. Yes they like to make dogs bark. I think it is a coyote game.
Thank you very much elanski. The fireplace is cat free indeed.
