Picked up this revolving book case that was Manufactured by The Danner Revolving Book Case Company of Canton Ohio. Mfg in the 1880's. The book case is made of mission oak and stands about 58 inches high.
Fantastic and photos, especially the label. I never knew or had forgotten that they ever made them that high !! Wow !! Usually around 30 inches high. They are usually found in Great Britain. I see them usually in photos of the great libraries. I hope you cherish and love your bookcase, rarely seen !!~
I like that the top has a lecturn type lip for displaying or reading an open book. That makes it a serious library aquisition, absolutely spectacular !
PhilDMorris, Yes I have seen other book cases by Danner, but not with this style
top most are flat. Thanks for the love.
very nice!!!
