I found these two Anthony Llamas at the Flea Market on Saturday 5/21/2018, and besides the fact that they're California Pottery, one my favorites to collect, they're Llamas, and remind me of the now, only one Llama that lives at the end of our street.
The Llama, is always excited to see people, and animals stop by to see him, because after he was left alone, when his mother tragically died giving birth, to his sibling, that also died, he started to gravitate, to anyone or thing that would come by to see him, and even runs up to his fence, when a car slows, to see him. He watches over the Turkeys, that stay with him at times, and they seem to know that he'll protect them from the Coyotes, that sometimes come up on his hill.
The two Llama Figurines, male, and female, look very nice together, and depending how you place them, seem to show different attitudes, like admiration/love, uninterested, mad, or playful. The male is 6 1/2" tall, 6"long, and 3 1/2" at the widest, and impressed on the bottom 431 USA Anthony, in script, and a copyright mark. The female is 5"tall, 5 1/4"long, and 3" at the widest, and impressed marked on the bottom 432 USA Anthony in script, and a copyright mark. These were made between the late 1940's to the 1970's, the Freeman McFarlin factory closed in about 1975.
Thank you for looking, and all questions, I will try to answer, but any comments are nice to get! :^)
Adorable llama figurines, so rare to see this animal sculpted so well. Very touching story about your local llama Bill, it would be nice if there could be another from a zoo to keep him company
Hey Jenni, thank you! I talked to the son of the owners, he lives just down the street from me and is a Carpenter too, and he said that his parents are trying to get a young rescue Llama, that's about 3yo, so hopefully that will happen! :^D
Thanks so much for the love, Mrstyndall, and Jenni, always appreciated! :^)

Thanks Joe, the people that own the Llama, have had 3 of them over the years, and had them watch over some goats for a while, too, but this guy has been alone, accept for the Turkeys that stop by to be with him, for over 2yrs now, other than the owners, I mean, and needs to have another Llama, to hang with! See ya at the Flea Market :^D
Thank you for the love KKK! :^)
