Vintage Boy Scout Large Capacity Canteen 1950s/1960s

I posted another Boy Scout canteen a bit ago. That one can be seen in photo #3. It is the lower one, this one is considerably thicker at about 3 3/4" thick. The other is only about 2" at its thickest. Both are about 8" across and have a cotton/canvas cover. That does age much nicer than nylon.
The canteen has been beat up quite a bit so the cover does not quite close. Also the canvas case has some thin spots. I wouldn't fill that canteen up and take it on a hike.
