She is so sweet! She was the saddest looking dog at the adoption league and was scared to death of everything. She was used for breeding and, apparently, was never out of her cage. She weighed nothing and didn't even know how to walk on a leash or run. After a few weeks, she has gained weight and is running and walking great on a leash. She is slowly beginning to trust and gets along great with my other dog, Coco.
Aw, Vintagelamp, that is so sad.....poor little Willow, so happy you have adopted her and will give her a wonderful loving home:-) Please give her a big hug from me, and thank you for rescuing her.....I am going to have a little cry now......
Congratulations, I think Willow is adorable and is just adapting to her new home, it is great for Coco to have a companion & soon they will be best friends

Thank you all for the beautiful and heartfelt comments. MsCrystalShip, I will always adopt because it is AMAZING to see such a change in a dog after a little love and attention. They are so forgiving and return so much more love than we could ever give them. Willow and I love you all...
Hi vintagelamp, Love your story we rescued our new boy named Jackie, from the SPCA.. A similar story to yours somewhat.. He totally look different than what he does in this picture. and he wants to say hi to you and your new dog,, Here’s a picturetrail link to Jackie.. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL86/504347/23820362/413906786.jpg
Awww! So cute! I used to have a Schnauzer and he was so full of energy! Thank you for saving and giving Jackie a great home! Willow and Coco loved the pic as much as I love it. Thank you!
OMG! Love it, we have a habit of getting the runt of the litter with back yard breeders. A whole different set of issues. These are the least liked puppies for whatever reason, and they have different needs too. Never mind the physical issues like poor nutrition, infections, infestations etc. One was reared in a filthy basement, and the other in a cage in the back yard for the summer.
Happy for you vintage lamp. Enjoy!
Well, you have done a great deed Vintagelamp, and your reward is another happy dog that will love you unconditionally! :^D Not a bad reward to get, and one that pays interest from the love bank! :^)
truthordare,
