My new favorite find

I don’t know much about this item, I would love some help please, we picked it up from a man who had it stored in his old garage. It reminded me of my grandmas when I was a kid. It has a sphinx with wings on it, but when I try to look it up I cannot find it, I also cannot find model number, so therefore I don’t know anything, I would like to find a book also on it that I could learn to sew, I was taught to sew by hand. And I would love to use this.
