I've had this for a few years, a thrift shop find I think, and never been able to find out the maker or seen another like it. It is 6" L x 3.5" H x 2" W, textured clear glass, no markings. Fairly heavy for its small size so may be leaded? Sometimes it feels like Viking to me... Does anyone know who made this? Thanks!
UPDATE! I finally was able to identify this as made in Murano, Italy from a labeled example. The glass color is different, but the style and dimensions are identical and the other example is labeled! After much comparison and research, I have determined that this piece is made using an acid etching process called corroso which is fairly rare.
Marvelous glass snail & great photos
Thanks for the loves guys, and comment Newfld. I despair in every finding out who made this piece! It is very high quality glass. I guess it could be a one of a kind, though if that were the case, I would expect it to be signed and it is not.
Yay! I was able to identify this a made by Murano after years of researching!
Sorry for the belated thanks for loving my snail.

you cant compare this , yours is very much better , such a superb corroso and completely curvilineair outstanding, they are getting rare nowadays, i believe they are covered for scavo legislation ( acid fumes)
Thanks for you comment apostata! I appreciate it. My comparison was more about the shape and style. The pink snail is the only thing I have found that is close to the way my snail was made, excluding the finish, and I have looked at more snails than is healthy for my sanity!
