I got a message from my oldest son today. He was selected as NCOIC of the American contingent that is in France this week for the D-Day ceremonies. Message as follows:
Today I had the absolute honor and privilege of marching the entire American Contingent through the streets of Carentan, as we celebrated its liberation by the 101st Airborne after D Day. One of the best things that’s ever happened to me.
Being a proud father I had to share it.
Beautiful post, thank you for sharing this. Great honor for your handsome, brave son, he looks so happy. Legendary walk in Normandy, love that memorial to the 101st, those guys truly helped us win the war
Congrats to you, (Proud Dad), and also to your (Outstanding Son), for serving our country, and representing us in this very Prestigious Ceremony. Good to see we still have Americans like him, willing to step up, and do their part! All the Best to Him!
