This is a buddy lee doll I found a flea market in Los Angeles. The doll is in excellent condition except for two small cracks along the sides of the neck.
I have been researching and I can find no information or pictures of this doll online. I have found some Pepsi Buddy Lee replicas, but they have different outfits and and a marking on the bottom of the foot numbering them. This one has no such markings.
I have read that Lee released a Pepsi Salesman version at some point, but as I mentioned, I can find no pictures or information on it. I have another Buddy Lee doll from the late 40's and is of a hard plastic, this one is shorter and I believe is of the original Composite material (which would place it at pre-1949). It is much heavier.
Any information on whether or not this is an original Buddy Lee or what year it is from would be greatly appreciated.
If it is an original, I am sure I got a good deal on it, but regardless, I am also curious to wether or not it has any value.
Thanks for the help!!

I know the coca cola version of a buddy lee doll is valuable, so I would imagine the pepsi cola version is more rare and valuable.
I'm having a heck of a time with this doll. Mostly because it's so clean. I'm going back and forth trying to determine if it's new or not. The material looks synthetic, is it? The eye lashes seem so long and the hands too short. BUT there were some dolls with longer hands, and some shorter. So there you have it, I'm just not sure.
I still think the Coke Buddy would go for more. Coke still is more collectable than Pepsi. You might find some doll collectors that want Buddy, but mostly it's a guy thing, and Coke collectors do not mess around when they want something.
Anyway here is an article about them, and come contact information. Maybe this guy knows for sure.
