I just picked up these two Kay display signs yesterday and I am looking for any information that you can provide. The story goes.... Like all of you I am always on the hunt for Coca Cola items and while at work yesterday I was checking out the facebook marketplace waiting to leave work at 4:30. The page provides pop ups of items of similar interest that I have viewed recently. The attached photo pops up with the following description " Pair of wood antique Coca Cola signs circa 1920's $XX for the pair. 23x12 (left) and 10x12 (right). (The seller posted the ad less than 24 hours ago.) I was not sure what it was but, for the price I figured it would be ok to take a shot at it. Within an hour of IM'ing each other we had set up a location and time to meet after work. I drove about an hour to the meet and I anxiously awaited the seller. With my $XX money in hand the seller brought the items out and I looked at the back of both signs and saw the words Kay Display. Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Hopefully my excitement of the purchase is being transmitted out to everyone. I am currently doing as much online research as possible but, I am not finding much. Please note that the purchase price was less than what it would cost for a dinner with the wife at the local Italian restaurant.
Thanks for the help and enjoy the hunt
Nice ones! Both are from 1940's sets. "Work Refreshed" honored main disciplines, Education, Agriculture, Science, Transportation, Industry, Communication. The other is one of 9 Sports hangers, Golf, Tennis, Badminton, Baseball, Sailing, Fishing, etc., with a centerpiece in the shape of the U.S.A. Kay Displays are great. Super find.
Thanks for the reply daddy nobucks
I found a similar sign. Any rough idea of the value of the "Work Refreshed" sign?
