This rose bowl is in Loetz's beautiful 'rosa' color, and features six rim folds with a polished pontil. It measures 4-1/2" (11.4cm) wide by just over 3-1/2" (8.9cm) tall. I spent quite a bit of time going through my copy of Jitka Lnenickova's book Loetz/Series II, 'Paper Patterns for Glass from 1900 to 1914', and the closest PN I was able to find, especially in regards to size, was PN-2039. However, 'rosa' is not listed as a color used for this PN, and I am unsure if it is a good match. If anyone knows of a matching PN, can you please let me know? Of course, many of the paper patterns are missing, so this may just stay an unknown. Thanks!
A gem of a colour, Michelle. The shape epitomises......'less is more'.
Thank you, Peggy! It almost appears to glow in the right light! :)
