This Pendant is a recent addition to my Bernard Instone collection, it is a stunning piece.
The Amethyst stone is huge measuring 7 cm long and 4 cm at it widest point. The Amethyst stone is faceted on both sides and surrounded two-third of the way round with leaves, stems and berries in typical Instone style
There are five small peridots that give subtle green highlights to some of the leaves on the sides.
The Amethyst is faceted on the flat table on the front side, it is fully faceted on the back, you could wear the pendant on either side. It as a wonderful long chain which I think is the original chain to the pendant
The person I bought it from said it could have been a commissioned Pendant. I would think this piece was probably an earlier pendant, so I would say 1930s or even earlier maybe the 20s

Your very welcome billretirecoll, I'm glad you like it. To be honest I don't know the weight but it is a very heavy piece.
