I picked this up from the Miami Springs estate of an old Eastern pilot. Daughter told me she remembers Dad telling her it came out of a "flight ops" building in D.C. back in the 50s or 60s. It's all wood, shows its age, and it's heavy at about 23 pounds. My guess is that it was made by an Eastern technician who had some pretty good carpentry skills. I already have it displayed, it's real eye-catching, but I'd sure appreciate any info about a sign like this if you know anything. Thanks!

They were my favourite. I flew them so much that I got to know Frank Borman and many of the staff, like Al, the bartender at the Ionosphere Club in MIA. LOL!

Eastern had a wood shop at their Miami maintenance base and I am sure they had other shops around their system. I have a similar sign somewhere in my garage. I am sure they where made in these wood shops.
