I was going thru a box which I thought was mostly scrap pieces when I found these. I don't remember them and the box has been in storage several years so I don't know where I got them.
The one piece is an antique German lighter, a part is missing though. The other I'm not sure if its a card holder or for matches. Both say Gott Mit Uns with a crown on them. I looked them up a little and know the one is a lighter for sure. The site dated them from 1914 to 1919.
I've learned to always double check boxes because you never know. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.

The motif & logo comes directly from the WWI German & later Prussian belt buckle. "God be with us". This logo was used up until the Nazi era & maybe a bit longer in the Nazi satellite countries, such as Austria etc..

These are Trench Art and were made from WW1 German buckles.

The square one is a match box holder, so both would fall into the tobacciana category as well.

These are not unique items-- they were a popular design and made in large quantities.
