Here Thomas, in honor of your new, "old 1939 Chrysler Plymouth", some advertisements from the 1967 POST magazine. Fast forward 29years to the new models for some 1968 Plymouth cars. Though not a Plymouth, but a 1969 Dodge Charger that's on the cover of "Hot Wheels" "Classics" "The Redline Era" book, the 1968 Plymouth GTX, has that Redline look, so had to combine the two! :^D The next car ad. is the 1968 Plymouth Barracuda, and I'm sure a song comes to mind . . . The last car is the 1968 Plymouth Fury. The Valiant, and Coronet, were also advertised, and actually, the Plymouth Coronet was the closer style, to the 1969 Charger, but the ad. made it look more like a family car, not a Hot Wheels! :^D

Thank you for looking! I think more for entertainment, and the memories it might conjure! Enjoy! All comments are welcome! :^)

Hi Bill, love your old Plymouth ads. We had a boxy white Plymouth Valiant as our family car in the 70s, then my husband drove a couple different Plymouth Acclaims (both bought used, but they were solid rides with comfy interiors) in the 90s - thought you'd appreciate a laugh - one of my wisecracking uncles joked after we bought the first one, "hope you never have to file a claim on it," a nice jinx cause hubby had a minor fender bender shortly afterward lol

Thanks for your comment Jenni! Yeah sometimes those wise-crackin uncles need to be served a little of they're own medicine! :^D
My parents had a 1957 Sierra Dodge Station Wagon, until 1961, and switched to Oldsmobile, but my dad loved that Dodge, and would take to the Race Track, when they had open class racing, and won almost every race with that, over 2-ton family car. The speedometer on it, went to 140, and he could pin it! The only car he couldn't beat was also a 57 Sierra Dodge Wagon Super Red Ram, it had the larger engine in it, but my father kept blowin head gaskets, trying, and my mom made him get rid of it, and traded in, on the Olds. My first MOPAR, was a 1987 Plymouth Voyager Mini-van, and have switched to a Dodge Grand Caravan, and I'm on my 3rd now! Always have been good cars! :^D

Hey Brian, I think I've got one boxed away, I got it, and others, during a Shell Gas give-a-way, in 1969, still in the bubble pack. I had over 4 dozen, but gave some away, still over 30 left though! Thank you for your comment! :^D

You got it Rich, thanks! Other cars come and go, but MOPAR, seems to stick with ya! :^D

Hey dogg, I think the Plymouth Coronet was used for Police Cars, in a lot of areas, because they're tough, and last a lot of hard miles! I'm sold, thanks! :^D

Thank you all for coming by for a look, and leaving a love, for what you saw,

Yep....'67 through '70 were my favorite years for muscle cars.
Lots of competition for horsepower amongst the auto industry.
Mopar muscle ...definitely a strong contender.... :)

Thanks for your comment buckethead! :^D I was never into cars more, then in the 1960s-1980. I knew what all the cars looked like from the 1900s on, was just hooked. The first car that I bought on my own, was a used 1969 AMC Javelin, in 1974, it was an automatic, and I switched it over to a Hurst 4 speed manual, with a Hurst floor shift, and linkage, my first project car, oh and my last! It was the quickest car off the line, but redlined, at about 95, when after 2 blocks, the other car would speed by! A real fun short race, that won a lot of intersection burns! :^D I never switched out the rear end, the gear ratio was too low, for the manual transmission, so I was told. Sold it for what I had into it, but time was cheap! Fun car though! After that It was all about getting to work, and paying the bills! :^)

Thank you for the love mikelv85, and buckethead, much appreciated! :^)
