This is the 3.rd Loetz vase with this décor designed by Otto Prutscher in 1929 published on CW, one recently by Warren and the other 6 years before by Tony. According to Jan Mergl in 'Loetz Boehmisches Glas 1880-1940' it is a paraphrase onto the famous 'Stripes and Spots' décor designed by Josef Hoffman. The 'thea' bowl - silvery iridized like a shell's mother of pearl - is carried by 8 iridescent large cobalt blue leafes and standing on 12 threefold leafes coloured accordingly. It stands 9 cm high and measures 28.5 cm in diameter.
A stunning beauty, love the sapphire blue color
So you got the other one! Nice, Kai - it's interesting to see the variations in this decor. Yours has all blue stripes that are more densely packed. Mine has gold stripes next to the blue, but they also are a little farther apart. Great photos.
WOW, love this one the most!
Beautiful! Congratulations on such a nice and rare addition to your collection.
This is just wonderful ...
