Only a small number of vases designed by Marie Waltl (married Wilfert), all made - for her own purposes only - by Loetz are known. This vase is made of thick light yellow toned 'Kristall' glass, its central stem is surrounded by another three feet. It has PN=II/4865 (1907) and stands 14 cm high. It is décorated by thickly 3D enamelled roses and garlands in the spirit of the late 'Biedermeier'. These 4- and 5-footed désigns became quite popular and were often copied by other companies, but most of them are easy to be identyfied as they are blown from the top and have no polished pontil in contrast to this vase.
Very beautiful ! Reminds me of a ornate Chandelier :-)
The decor is very similar to DEK 932 (see II-4897).
