In my previous post I showed a four footed vase designed by Marie Waltl (married Wilfert). This is a five footed example with central stem surrounded by four feet, also made for her own purposes only, by Loetz. My vase of thick light yellow toned 'Kristall' glass has PN=II/4863 (1907) and stands 22 cm high and weights impressive 2.6 kg. It is décorated by gilded enamelled garlands in the spirit of the late 'Biedermeier'. This shape is also made in 'Goldglas' called Ausf-94. These 4- and 5-footed désigns became quite popular and were often copied by other companies, but true Loetz examples are rather rare.
Incredible
So elegant!
This is absolutely incredible, Kai. The enameling is so fine and beautiful - how neat to have both a four and a five footed version!
That's really wonderful.
