Here's a painting I created in the late 1980's, when I was first loving the medium gouache. The piece has a New Englandy feel to it, and I was living in Connecticut at the time. It did well in an art show. I think it's a little dark, but I like the bright greens and blues next to the gray houses.
Minus the cat, this scene is not unlike the one I'm looking at now on a bay on Lake Michigan. I think it's a lovely painting and, like you, I like how the colors interact.
Kinda looks like my Cat, He doesn't go upon the house but he LOVES the roof of the car !
Lovely paintings. They remind me of Henri Rousseau.
Thanks a lot!
Hello Robin,
That's another wonderful piece, thanks for posting it.
Do you take commissions? I lost 2 kitties a few of years ago,....my first kitties ever.
I cried for the first 2 years, and still have their photos next to my bed. I've drawn them a hundred times, but always wanted to have a painting that someone else did of them. Let me know if you're interested.
Best Regards,
Tony.
I lost the kitties a few year ago, and I'm sorry to bother you with such a inquiry.
Just keep painting, whatever you do:)
Tony.
