    This exquisite tea pot is a beautiful piece with the Pegasus featured on top, our research got as far as "to the order of duty.
    Mark George IV possibly 1598 or 1820 made in London if anyone can offer anymore information please contact me on mathaz@hotmail as any information would be appreciated

      Erase one image and add marks
      British marks are very consistent, well documented and easy to identify

      Hi Ivan thanks for your help these are 4 of the best pics I could come up with, the four letters in the center could be JP over EP or FP its hard to make out but I hope this helps Many thanks MBH

      looks very much like a Victorian date letter 1887. it is an M in a shield.

      Full marks:
      Lion passant for sterling standard (.925)
      Leopard`s head uncrowned for London assay office
      Victoria head in profile duty mark
      Date letter M for 1887
      Maker`s mark JP over FP for Pairpoint Brothers (John & Frank Pairpoint), registered in London Feb 1879.
      The engraving was done a year later (1888 in Latin)/
