This is a replica of a German Train Circa 1954 - it was made as a remembrance for a commander of U.S. Transportation Services stationed in Germany

I am trying to determine if anyone can identify the type/name of this model of German Train. Any information anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Great cast piece! its a German Federal Railroad (DB) class 52 locomotive, with a tub-style tender and smoke deflectors. (produced during the Second World War)
