Sometimes at the Marx factory they would run out of the proper parts and would fake it. In this case they ran out of Jay West heads so they took his brother Jamie and painted the hair blond and put it on a Jay West body. Jay West had the snap style shirt torso. The arms and legs are the same for both figures. The kids will never notice they said. The blond Jamie head is very rare. This is the first one I have seen. I do know someone who has one, I figure there are made a couple hundred like this and a few are still around. The reverse which is Jamie with a brown hair are more common. You can usually find a brown haired Jay on eBay. I have 4 so not super rare.
Photo #2 is blonde Jamie with Jay body along with the standard brown haired Jamie with his proper fringe shirt.
Photo #3 has the standard blond Jay on the left of the screen and the mutant Jamie on the right.
Photo #4 has all four variations. Brown painted hair Jay as Jamie is on the right of the screen. I think the mutant Jay and Jamies need new names but they have to start with a J.

That's interesting. You know something, I seem to remember a little bottle of peroxide came with the accessories.

Their western garb is really great, I like Jay's neckerchief and holstered weapons

Thank you very much Toyrebel. I wonder if Jamie had more fun as a blonde.
