Good afternoon all, As with alot of glass collectors I guess I have focused in on one main object " Vintage murano glass blowers" Since thrift stores are my main hunting grounds this can be frustrating and long periods of time between truly good finds. Finally what I believe to be a 1960 Alfredo barbini work of art. This fantastic goldfish is in the sommerso, bullicante style of Barbini. It stands 14 inches tall and weighs over 6.5 lbs. Purchased for 20 dollars with no signature or label it not a certified piece. Please take a look and tell me what you think! Thanks for looking!!
Gorgeous glass fish, it is certainly in the Murano bullicante style - lovely post
Thanks so much Newfld it means alot. Thanks also to aura , Vetraio 50 and AdeleC for taking the time!
Such a wonderful fish ! love love
Nice look to it.
I always thought that style base was indicative of a modern piece-- I am interested in seeing what others say.
I don't have any documentation to cite, so not 100% certain.

Thanks Manikin and yes Scottvez a comp. With a vintage or newer label would be great to compare things to. I Apreciate both for taking the time!
Thanks to Kwgd , fortapache. For the clicks. After scottvez got my interest in bases I started researching crystal fish bases and now think the base is more in the style of Archimedes Seguso but the fish still looks like a Barbini? Help lol
Thanks to BB 2 appreciate it.
Thanks racer44 apreciate it!
this is for sure generic no back swirling in the bullicantes , strange base , slightly resembling import , maybe for the american market still cute
