    I was recently given this chair by a relative. I know nothing about it except I was told that it's an 1890 Spanish Ibex chair. Anyone know anything about it? History? It also looks a lot like some French designs.

      No ibex at all. A beautiful Savonarola chair, savonarola chair, italian renaissance. I used to own a magnificent example !~
