This Rindskopf vase just arrived a few days ago, and was very happy to see how iridescent it was when I unpacked it! The glass itself is a golden apricot-yellow that is striated at an angle, and flecked with deep blue. It is quite an unusual decor of theirs that I have only ever seen in a few other shapes. It is highly iridescent, with a lot of raspberry tones to the finish. It measures 8-1/2" (21.6cm) tall, and has a cut and polished rim. In photo two, you can see how pretty the blue specks are within the glass.
A lovely décor, Michelle. Quietly understated spatter, but luxurious looking thanks to the iridescence bouncing off the indents. Your Rindskopf posts are an education for me :)
This is so gorgeous, it has a laid - back glamour with the simple form & restrained spatter. The colours make me think of King Tut's golden mask set with lapis lazuli...& desert sands flecked with jewels...
I have this decor as Kralik gold on blue Bacillus glass, but the Kralik is more "crowded"
Thank you, sklo - I am always happy to hear when post is helpful. I have learned so much here over the years! :)
Thanks, IronLace - what a terrific description! :)
cameoboy, I haven't seen that before - I'll have to keep an eye out for one.
Great Rindskopf example. IMHO, this decor bears very little resemblance to Kralik Bacillus.
Thanks so much, Craig. I agree that it has a very strong Rindskopf vibe to me, too! I was very happy to be able to add this decor to my Rindskopf collection. :)
