Another one of my silver compacts. It’s marked 800 and another mark which as 336FI, I think it is Italian makings, I’m sure IVAN will know. It has lovely etchings to both the front and back. The front as 4 etched flowers which seem to be in a vase or a flower pot. There are lots of swirls which surround both sides of the compact. The mirror is intact which is great, alot of compacts are sold without the mirrors, which is a shame but sometimes it’s difficult to get the correct size to replace. On one of my earlier posts I have a compact silver bag which had the mirror but it was very discoloured, I managed to find someone to re-silver and change the glass. It was complicated job because the glass was very thin, these days you can’t get that thickness, luckily for me he did have some in his old stock.
Many thanks for looking
336 FI mark belongs to GIANCARLO LIVI, Via del Cantone 60/62, Sesto Fiorentino Florence, registered 1959.
The mark used before 1968.
Awww thank you IVAN, I knew you would know the silver mark. Thanks yet again.
