Cytisus was always a bucket list decor for me, and now I'm fortunate enough to have two examples. This one in new red followed me home from the Baltimore Summer Antiques show. There is very faint evidence of silver overlay that has been removed, but it is a fabulous large example - 25 cm (about 10") tall. This vase is similar to production number (PN) II-1118, but it is about 2 inches taller. The last photo shows this piece next to my lemon yellow vase in the same decor.
Wow!!! :). Will probably never own one! :(. But enjoyed looking!! :). Thanks for sharing!
Outstanding! The two look great together. What a beautiful decor.
Oh yes, the elusive Cytisus ! I was lucky in my life to have owned 3 of the top best of them (will show some old pictures of them shortly), however since then they haven't shown up that often anymore and now their prices have become prohibitive !
So I guess I can say, that as of now they are back on my bucket list, since the ones I owned in the 80's have all been sold since. (See Ketterer auction 60 in 1982). In any case, yours are absolutely superb, so please hang on to them for as long as possible and enjoy every day, since once they are sold, they never come back !
love this decor in new red
